Vic driver drunk, asleep at wheel

A man, who was apparently asleep at the wheel, has been nabbed for being more than five times over the blood-alcohol limit in Melbourne.

Another driver took the 24-year-old's keys and called police to the intersection in Brunswick East early on Sunday, and when officers arrived the driver and his passenger were trying to push the car off the road.

But it was impounded and the man is expected to be charged with drink driving, traffic offences and providing a false name.
