Motorcyclist crash takes Vic toll to 42

A motorcyclist has died in a crash in Reefton after failing to overtake a car.

Two men were riding separate motorcycles along Warburton-Woods Point Road on Sunday afternoon and both attempted to overtake a car.

The first rider made it safely but it's believed the second rider clipped an oncoming car before crashing.

This year there have been 42 people who've died on Victorian roads, up from 40 the same time last year.
