Vic drink-driver had kids in back seat

A man has recorded a blood alcohol reading almost five times over the legal limit while driving with three children in Melbourne, police say.
Passers-by noticed the man asleep behind the wheel in traffic at Richmond just before 5.30pm on Saturday.
The children, all aged under five, were looked after by police while the man was taken back to Richmond Police Station where he returned a BAC of 0.223 per cent.

The 42-year-old Coburg man will face court at a later date, charged on summons with drink-driving related offences.
His licence was also suspended for 12 months.
