Vic diver improves after rapid ascent

A diver who got into trouble while surfacing off Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula is out of intensive care and on the mend.

The woman, who had been diving at Barwon Heads, was sent to University Hospital Geelong on Monday following a rapid ascent.

A Barwon Health spokeswoman on Tuesday said the woman was out of ICU, in a stable condition, and resting in a ward.
