Vic cyclist dies after cardiac arrest

A 78-year-old cyclist has collapsed and died while riding his bike in Melbourne.

Police say the man was riding along Portman Street, Oakleigh about 7.40am on Monday when he fell from the bike after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman Paul Bentley said paramedics tried to revive the man, but he died at the scene.
