Vic cop suspended for drink drive incident

A Victorian policeman has been suspended after he was allegedly caught supervising a learner driver while over the legal alcohol limit.
A vehicle with a learner driver at the wheel was stopped by police at a random breath testing site on the Bellarine Highway, near Queenscliff, on Friday night.
The off-duty officer was a passenger but was tested as the vehicle's only fully licenced driver.

"He allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading above the legal limit," according to a Victoria Police statement.
The leading senior constable has been suspended with pay and will be charged on summons.
