Vic driver charged after cop dragged 30m

A Victorian driver will face court accused of dragging a police officer along a highway after being pulled over.
The 21-year-old Berwick man was stopped on the Princess Highway in Eumemmerring shortly after midday on Tuesday and when officers approached the car, allegedly took off.
One of the officers was dragged 30 metres along the road and taken to hospital with non-life threatening lower body injuries.

The driver has been charged with conduct endangering life and failing to render assistance.
He will face Dandenong Magistrates Court on September 1.
