Vic child abuse network case delayed
A Melbourne man who ran an horrific online empire that encouraged and distributed footage of depraved child abuse and torture is due back before court in a couple of weeks.
Matthew David Graham, 23, has pleaded guilty to 13 child exploitation charges over the website network he ran from his bedroom using the pseudonym "Lux".
One charge relates to him advising a Russian man how to rape and murder a five-year-old girl, while others are linked to a four-part video he shared called "Daisy's Destruction", which showed a toddler being tortured.
Graham's plea hearing was due to finish in the County Court of Victoria on Friday, but was adjourned because the Crown prosecutor was delayed.
Graham's barrister, David Gibson, earlier said Graham was in solitary confinement in prison where he was considered the "lowest of the low", even by sex offenders.
Graham, who had a schizoid personality disorder, depression and social anxiety when he began operating the network, had been abused by prisoners and guards, Mr Gibson said.
The matter is due back before the court on February 18.
