Vic boy charged with setting bushfire

A 12-year-old Melbourne boy has been charged with causing a bushfire near the Monash Freeway in the city's southeast.
The blaze on Gunns Road Reserve in Endeavour Hills was discovered about 3pm on Tuesday.
It was soon extinguished and detectives charged the boy, from nearby Hallam, with recklessly causing a bushfire.

He has been bailed to appear at a children's court in February.
Police are requesting anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
