Vic biker takes shot at helmet cam fine

A motorcyclist fined in Victoria for wearing a Go-Pro camera on his helmet will take a shot at overturning the penalty in a court hearing on Wednesday.

Max Lichtenbaum will face Frankston Magistrates Court to fight the $289 fine and three demerit points he lost after being pulled over for not wearing an approved helmet in March 2014.

Mr Lichtenbaum's lawyer, Malcolm Cumming, says he hopes the results of this test case will allow motorcyclists to attach cameras and tinted visors to helmets to improve their safety without fearing fines.
