A Melbourne man accused of murdering his 75-year-old mother will undergo a third assessment to determine his mental fitness to stand trial.
Two separate reports conflicted on 45-year-old Socrates Tamvakis' ability to follow the course of a trial and give his counsel instructions, a Supreme Court directions hearing was told on Wednesday.
Justice Christopher Beale ordered a third report be done and the matter will return to court on May 10.
