Unlicensed Vic driver had nine in her car

A Victorian woman has had her car impounded after police found nine people in the vehicle, four of them children who were not wearing seatbelts.

When police stopped the Commodore, which had no number plates, in Geelong on Thursday afternoon, they discovered three children sitting on the laps of three passengers in the back seat, with a fourth child on the lap of the front seat passenger.

The driver, a 20-year-old Morwell woman who has never held a driver's licence, is expected to be charged on summons. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
