UFO mix-up gets Victorian man arrested

A Melbourne man has been visited by the men in blue after allegedly spotting what he thought was a UFO and shining a laser at it.

The Brighton man, 42, shone a laser into a police helicopter as it flew over the bayside suburbs about 1.25am on Thursday, police say.

He's been interviewed and is expected to be charged by summons with conduct endangering a person and interfering with crew or an aircraft.
