Two missing following Vic house fire

Two people still remain unaccounted for as investigators sift through the rubble of a house destroyed by fire in Melbourne.

Emergency crews found the Braybrook home ablaze early on Monday, with the roof caved in and the house extensively damaged.

Safety concerns delayed investigations as crews worked to secure a brick wall at risk of collapse.

Neighbours told the Herald Sun the resident was a man in his late 40s, who relied on candles because he hadn't had electricity connected to his unit for some time.

Police don't believe the fire was suspicious.
