Two men charged over Melbourne murder

Two men have been charged with the murder of a man whose body was dumped on a Melbourne beach.

The body was found partially covered with branches by a woman walking her dogs on a walking track near the Ricketts Point foreshore at Beaumaris on November 11.

The victim was identified as 27-year-old Frankston man Jason Edward Stone.

Steve Eric, 42, and Terry Darren Mitchell, 49, were charged with Stone's murder on Friday, police said.

Both men were remanded in custody after appearing before an out of sessions court hearing.

They are due to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday.
