Two dead in separate Victoria crashes

A man has died after his car veered off the road and slammed into a power pole in Victoria.

Police said the crash happened in Moriac, west of Geelong, early on Tuesday morning.

Just an hour earlier, a truck driver was killed when his semi-trailer hit a tree and burst into flames in Arcadia, near Shepparton.

Both men are yet to be formally identified.
