Badly behaved fans have again marred Saturday night's A-League Melbourne derby with nine flares lit and 20 people evicted.

Seven flares were lit before the game and two during the match.

Seven people were evicted for disruptive behaviour, one for letting off a pre-game flare, one for entering the field of play, four for intoxication and three for discharging missiles after bottles were thrown.

Two 17-year-old boys were also evicted for drug related offences.

Before the match police warned they would shut down games after Western Sydney Wanderers' fans ripped 25 flares and set off detonators inside Etihad Stadium during last Saturday's clash with Melbourne Victory.

The Western Sydney Wanderers were fined $50,000 and given a 12-month, three-point suspended sentence for last Saturday's hooligan behaviour.

Nearly 26,000 attended Saturday night's derby.
