Two people have been treated for minor injuries after a train crashed into an abandoned car. (9NEWS) 

Six people been treated for injuries after a train derailed in Bendigo, northwest of Melbourne’s CBD.

The V/Line train derailed after hit an abandoned car on Crueso Road, Kangaroo Flat, about 2.30pm, according to Ambulance Victoria.

The male driver of the train and a woman were treated for minor injuries, an ambulance spokeswoman said.

Four other people were assessed at the scene by paramedics, but were not taken to hospital.

All 80 passengers have been removed from the train and they are being transferred to buses to complete their journey, according to the CFA.

Train services on the Bendigo, Swan Hill and Echuca lines may experience delays and alterations, Public Transport Victoria (PTV) has advised.
