A toddler has died after being found unconscious in a backyard pond in Geelong.
The 14-month-old boy was pulled from the water on Sunday just before 11.30am and was taken to the Royal Children's Hospital where he later died.
Kidsafe Victoria says toddlers can drown in as little as a few centimetres of water.

"Drowning often happens quickly and silently - 20 seconds is all it takes for a toddler to drown," the Kidsafe website says.
Police on Monday said the boy's death was not being treated as suspicious.
