Three-year-old girl and man die in two separate crashes in Victoria

A young girl and a man have died in two separate single-car crashes in Victoria.

Police believe a car carrying four people hit a tree near at an intersection in Cornella, near Bendigo, just after 4.50pm yesterday, killing a three-year-old girl.

A 31-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition while a 61-year-old woman and a five-year-old girl were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

In a separate crash, a man in his 20s died after the car he was travelling in struck trees and rolled several times on Kallista-Emerald Road in Kallista about 12.40am.

The male driver, also in his 20s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating both crashes.
