A driver has been fined after his car was spotted weaving in and out of Melbourne traffic with three unrestrained children inside.

A 27-year-old female passenger was holding a baby, a three-year-old was standing between the front seats and another young child was in the back without a seatbelt, police say.

The 34-year-old male driver was seen weaving in and out of traffic in Doveton on Friday by a member of the public and police later found the driver at a shopping centre carpark where he was fined.
