Three luxury cars stolen in Vic break-in

Five thieves have crashed a stolen car through the front gate of a home in Melbourne's east, before attacking a man and taking off with three luxury cars.

The gang broke into the Balwyn North home on Saturday morning at about 5.20 am, with the occupants still asleep inside, police said.

A 40-year-old man, who woke up to the noise, was attacked on the back of the head, after the thieves demanded the keys to the family cars.

Police are calling for witnesses who see the stolen vehicles on the road to contact crime stoppers.

The vehicles stolen include a 2003 Audi Q7 with registration VARVA, a white 2018 Mercedes Benz GLA 180 with registration 1KP 4WA and a grey 2007 Audi A4 with registration 1MX 9CM.
