Three assaulted at Melbourne train station

Three people, including a teenage boy and an elderly woman, have allegedly been assaulted by a man at a train station in east Melbourne.
A 73-year-old woman remains in hospital in a stable condition after she was assaulted by a man on a train at Hawthorn station just before 4pm Thursday, police say.
The man got off the train and allegedly assaulted a 14-year-old boy, who was treated for an arm injury, and a 54-year-old man, who received minor injuries.

A 41-year-old Tullamarine man has been charged with multiple offences including intentionally causing injury and committing an offence while on bail. He is due to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Friday.
