Three arrests over Melbourne ram raid

Three men have been arrested after a car was rammed into a Melbourne grocery store with cigarettes and alcohol stolen.

Victoria Police say the car smashed into the Challis Street, Newport shop at around 3am on Monday before the men fled the scene with some joining another vehicle.

A white Commodore sedan thought be to be involved in the ram raid was later found crashed on the Westgate Freeway and the three men, from St Albans, were arrested with one taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
