Three arrested in Victoria for debt threat

Three people are under arrest after a Victorian man was allegedly abducted, imprisoned, assaulted and threatened over an unpaid debt.

Police allege the 30-year-old man's ordeal began after he went to a house in Mildura about midday on Thursday, after which he was assaulted, imprisoned in two locations and had his life threatened over a 12-hour period due to the unpaid debt.

He escaped in the early hours of Friday to tell police, who have arrested a 23-year-old man, a 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, all of whom are from Mildura.
