Teens riot, adult prisoners attack in Melb
Teenage detainees have rioted at the Melbourne Youth Justice Centre and a Port Phillip Prison guard is in hospital after an assault.
Victoria Police say they were called to the Park Street centre about 7pm on Saturday to help resolve the situation and no one was injured.
Video from the scene shows firefighters and paramedics were also called to help.
About the same time as the riot, four prison guards were assaulted by two inmates at Port Phillip Prison.
The Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit is investigating the assault that left one guard hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries while three others were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
It's alleged the assault occurred at the Truganina facility about 7.15pm.
