Police are expected to lay charges after a teenager allegedly crashed his car into a moving train in Ivanhoe in Melbourne’s east.
The 18-year-old driver was allegedly speeding down a hill about 8.30pm last night with a teenage passenger when the car smashed into a fence, flipped, and landed upside down on train tracks.

A train then collided with the car, however the teenagers escaped with minor injuries and nobody on board the train was injured.
The train driver did not realise a collision had occurred for another two stops.
Emergency crews worked overnight to restore power to a signal box.
The driver was arrested at the scene and is expected to be charged today.
