Two teenagers have been charged over the alleged armed robbery of a Melbourne jewellery store, though a third person of interest remains on the run.
Police say three men stole jewellery from display cases at the store on Sydney Road, Coburg, on Thursday evening before two were stopped by passers-by as they attempted to escape.
An 18-year-old Cairnlea man and a 19-year-old from Derrimut have been charged with armed robbery, aggravated burglary and theft, and are expected to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Friday.
