Teens charged after Vic home invasion

Sixteen teenagers have been charged for allegedly breaking into a Melbourne home and bashing four people inside.

Police charged the boys, aged between 15 and 18, with affray and violent disorder following raids on properties in the southeastern suburbs on Tuesday.

They are alleged to have broken into a Footscray home armed with weapons on July 31 and assaulted four people.

A number of them were also involved in violent incidents in Hallam, Oakleigh and Dandenong between August 9 and 14, police say.
