Teenage girl dies in Melbourne car crash

A teenage girl has died and a man has life-threatening injuries following a car crash in Melbourne's east.
Police say a car went out of control at a bend on Yarra Boulevard in Kew and struck a road sign and a tree at about 11.30pm yesterday.
The teenage girl in the passenger seat was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital but died there of her injuries.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was taken to the same hospital with life threatening injuries.
