Alleged Vic hit-and-run in stolen car
A teenager allegedly stole a car in Melbourne before reversing and critically injuring a man.
Brandon Nathan Abalos, 18, appeared in court on Tuesday charged over the alleged hit-and-run that injured the 31-year-old man last month.
Police say Abalos, of South Melbourne, stole a car worth $15,000 in Port Melbourne on October 14.
The victim was trying to get into the car and had his body half inside the vehicle when Abalos reversed, court documents allege.
The man fell and hit his head on the ground.
Abalos, who is on bail, was arrested over the incident on Monday.
He appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with six offences, including conduct endangering life, careless driving and theft of motor vehicle.
His matter was adjourned for mention in February.
