Teen cyclist left for dead in Vic hit-run

A teenage cyclist is fighting for life after she was hit by a car that then drove off in Melbourne.

She was hit on the corner of Bell and Sussex Streets in Coburg about 8pm on Sunday and has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say.

Police are searching for the driver of a large, light-coloured European-type vehicle, who stopped briefly before leaving the scene.
