Teen charged over shop crash

A teenager has been charged after an allegedly stolen car slammed into two shopfronts in Melbourne's north.

Police tried to stop the car in Broadmeadows early on May 5 but the driver sped off, crashed and then escaped on foot.

An 18-year-old Broadmeadows man was on Tuesday charged with motor vehicle theft, conduct endangering life, evading police and other offences and told to appear in court on June 16.
