Sword, drugs found at Melbourne home

A large sword is among a stash of weapons and drugs which have been discovered at a home in Melbourne's southeast.
Police searched the property at Rock Dairy Drive in Cranbourne West about 5am on Friday where they nabbed an allegedly illegal handgun, ammunition, the large sword, various quantities of drugs and cash.
Two men have been charged after the discoveries, with a 31-year-old Cranbourne West man accused of firearm, drug and weapons offences.

He has been remanded to appear before Frankston Magistrate's Court on January 30.
A 28-year-old Cranbourne man charged with drug offences has been bailed to appear before the same court on July 9.
