Strong winds batter Vic ski resorts

Victoria's ski resorts have been battered with severe winds overnight including gusts of up to 126km/h recorded on Mt Hotham.

It's set to be a very chilly day on Mt Hotham with a wind chill of minus nine degrees and a top temperature of minus three.

Gusts at neighbouring resort Falls Creek reached 90km/h in the early hours of Wednesday, with all 12 lifts currently on standby because of windy conditions.
