Stabbed Melbourne man honoured by family
Family and friends have honoured a Melbourne father who was found stabbed to death in a laneway as police investigate his mysterious death.
The body of Patryk Bondar, 36, was found by a passer by on Caravel Lane about 10pm on June 4.
Mr Bondar's son posted an emotional tribute on social media.
"R.I.P dad love u heaps can't believe that you are gone i miss you heaps hope to see u again one day," he wrote.
Friend Rafal Rutkowski said it was a "shock to hear the tragic news" and Leena Garcia Taylor wrote he was a "great man" who was "loved a lot".
Homicide squad Detective Senior Sergeant Stephen McIntyre said the man had a stab wound to his upper body.
A blood trail was found from Caravel Lane through parkland, over a bridge, along The Esplanade, Det Sen Sgt McIntyre said.
Victoria Police are urging anyone with information or CCTV footage from the area to come forward as they continue to investigate the death.
