Vic stab murder accused in court
A man accused of the stabbing murder of a man in Melbourne is withdrawing from heroin in custody, a court has heard.
Leigh Graham, 31, died at a Sunshine North home from injuries to his chest after a fight on Sunday.
Sunshine North man Rasim Vikic, 36, has been charged with Mr Graham's murder.
Vikic was remanded in custody after appearing briefly before the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.
His lawyer Sarah Pratt said Vikic was yet to see a doctor in custody.
"He's withdrawing from heroin," she told the court.
Vikic was also prescribed Valium, Ms Pratt said.
The matter will return to the court on December 15.
Detectives will conduct forensic analysis of the alleged crime scene before then, and CCTV will be sought.
