South Korea awards medals to Vic veterans

A group of Korean War veterans from Victoria have been awarded medals by South Korea.
South Korean consul general Hongju Jomore presented the Ambassador for Peace Medal to the 13 men on Tuesday night in appreciation of their help repelling the North Korean invasion more than 60 years ago.
An estimated 17,000 Australian served in the Korean War between 1950-1953, with 339 killed and 1200 wounded.
