A fire under Melbourne's Nylex clock has been deemed suspicious. (MFB)
Police are investigating the cause of a fire which burned near the silos below the Nylex clock in Cremorne, Melbourne, this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a rubbish fire near the malt silos below the iconic sign on Gough Street just after 2.30pm, the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) said.

Three fire crews and an aerial apparatus worked to control the flames.
Police are now investigating the incident, which has been deemed suspicious.
An image earlier shared by Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) showed plumes of smoke above the Nylex sign.
