Silicon Valley firm to launch Melbourne HQ

A Silicon Valley firm that invests in startups is coming to Melbourne to set up its Australian headquarters.

Venture fund and startup accelerator 500 Startups is adding Melbourne to its growing list of international investments.

"We've had our eye on Australia and have already invested in 20 Aussie startups," 500 Startups founding partner Dave McClure said in a statement on Saturday.
