Shot fired into Vic kids' bedroom

Three young children were in the bedroom of a Melbourne house when a shot was fired through the window.

Police say it's lucky none of the children, all aged under ten, were injured.

The shot was fired into the front bedroom of the home in Watsonia in the early hours of Sunday, November 23.

"It's very fortunate that no one was injured," Banyule Crime Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable Chris Elzink said.

A vehicle was heard leaving the scene after the shot was fired.
