Severe thunderstorm warning for parts of western Victoria, including Mildura, Horsham, Stawell, Hamilton, Ballarat and Maryborough

A severe thunderstorm is likely to bring damaging winds and heavy rain to country Victoria.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Friday morning and says the wet weather may lead to flash flooding in areas including Mildura, Horsham, Stawell, Hamilton, Ballarat and Maryborough.

Wind gusts of 91 kilometres per hour have already been recorded at Horsham.
