A man who died when his car crashed into a tree is the seventh fatality on Victorian roads in less than a week.
The car crashed at Chiltern Valley near the NSW border about 3pm on Thursday before catching fire. The male driver was the only occupant.
His death is the seventh in the state since Friday and comes after a mother and her teenage daughter were killed after a crash in Melbourne's southeast on Wednesday night.
