Second stolen Ferrari found torched in Vic

It's been a rough weekend for Ferrari in Melbourne with two vintage cars worth $2.6 million stolen and set alight.

Thieves rammed the roller door at a Braeside repair shop on Friday and took off with a $100,000 Ferrari 328 and a prized, ruby red 1972 Daytona - worth a whopping $2.5 million.

Both were found torched, with the Daytona found on Saturday in Langwarrin and the 328 discovered in Frankston on Monday morning.

The Daytona was once owned by Princess Diana's boyfriend Dodi Fayed and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters and had only been fully restored three weeks ago.

It was in the shop for minor repairs after the Motorclassica exhibition in Melbourne.

Business magnate Mohamad Al-Fayed gave the car to his son Dodi before he and Princess Diana were killed in a crash in Paris in 1997.

The current owner of the car, restaurant owner Enzo Ceravolo, bought it in the UK five years ago.
