The search for missing toddler William Tyrell has gone global with Crime Stoppers websites in 26 countries reportedly asked to post information about his disappearance.
William was last seen wearing a Spiderman costume and playing with his sister at his grandmother’s home in Kendall on the NSW north coast on September 12.
New Zealand Crime Stoppers has posted a picture of William and an appeal for information on their home page and authorities believe other countries will follow suit soon, News Corp reports.
“We’re using the global crime stoppers network to broaden the communications appeal relating to his disappearance,” NSW Crime Stoppers CEO Peter Price said.
“We’re hoping that somebody might recognise him.”
NSW Homicide Squad detective Gary Jubelin said there was no evidence to suggest William had been taken overseas.
William’s disappearance is reportedly being treated as an opportunistic abduction by someone unknown to his family.
