Search for missing Vic kayaker continues

The search for a kayaker missing in a Victorian lake has stretched into a third day.

The 36-year-old kayaker from Mitcham was paddling on Lake Eildon on Tuesday afternoon when his kayak capsized.

Three friends watching from their onshore campsite raised the alarm.

Water police, the air wing and search and rescue teams searched the lake on Tuesday and again on Wednesday without finding the missing man.

Authorities, including SES volunteers, have resumed searching on Thursday.
