Search ends, kayak found off Vic beach

Police have called off a large scale search after an empty kayak was found partly submerged off a Melbourne beach.

Water Police, the Air Wing, rescue divers and the Coast Guard launched a search on Sunday night after the kayak was found anchored 150 metres off Sandridge Beach in Port Melbourne.

The search hasn't uncovered anything and was suspended on Monday afternoon, police say.
