Scrapped Vic road beggars belief: Morrison

Federal Treasurer Scott Morrison can't believe the Victorian government is asking the Commonwealth for more money after it wasted $1.1 billion on the scrapped East West Link.

"For them to argue ... that they want more tax money from the federal government I think just beggars belief," he told 3AW radio on Friday.

Mr Morrison is disappointed by the "spectacular" decision by the Victorian government to cancel the project.
