Murder charge after man stabbed while walking home from wife's birthday celebration
A Victorian man charged with murder after an incident outside a pub was on bail for unrelated matters, a court has heard
Spencer Shumski, 20, faced Sale Magistrates Court on Monday, a day after being charged with the murder of 38-year-old Clint Allen.
Allen was allegedly stabbed to death outside the town's Criterion Hotel as he was walking home from celebrating his wife's birthday.

Police were called to the Criterion Hotel, near the intersection of York and MacAlister streets, about 1am yesterday after receiving reports a man had been stabbed following an altercation.
Officers gave Allen first aid until ambulance crews arrived, but he died at the scene.On Monday, the magistrate revoked Shumski's bail, which was for a separate matter.
His lawyer told the court the only custody management issues related to his age and it being Shumski's first time in custody.
He's due to return to court in Sale by videolink again on September 19.
