A Port Augusta driver recorded the highest New Year's Eve alcohol reading, at more than four times the legal alcohol limit.
The 28-year-old was stopped just before midnight on the Lincoln Highway, near Whyalla, and recorded a reading of 0.215 - the highest on New Year's Eve, South Australia Police said.
He was reported for drink driving, breaching his provisional licence conditions and immediately lost his licence for a year.
